H – Harness All your Opportunities
If you must have good success in your career, you must be willing and ready to harness all opportunities around you.
Let’s break down the word “harness” it simply means to collect and control something so that it can be used effectively (emphasis on the word effectively). It can also mean to bring to bear, draw on (or draw upon), make use of.
Now my question to you is, what Opportunities have you been ignoring/ avoiding or don’t see at all as a result of your current perspective.
There’s a tendency for you to have a myopic view meaning you streamline opportunities based on your current reality, however as a career professional with a global mindset/perspective, you must not be limited to your current environment, as opportunities may come from outside of your current organization and you must be ready to take them on.
Consider the following tips:
– Always keep an open mind
– Keep building Meaningful Relationships in and outside of your workplace
– Take personal development seriously
– Join professional networks that add value to you.
– Identify a Coach to work with you.
